Touched By Ghoul

I even forgot when I saw this. I think it was a Free Monday at Empty Bottle. And so Mondays can be really cool. Angela from Sybris, and Coins, now also with Touched By Ghoul and so of course I'm curious. Coins and Sybris are such different animals Angela creates that I have acquired this appreciation for. You just get into most of what the artist performs and records. I must admit I do not have the third and last Sybris. All I can do is bounce her around between her other bands. I'm kind of lazy and I like the idea. I warmed slowly to this band fronted by Angela! It broods and explodes, and then comes back. I remember this was fucking loud. A new element of urgency just popped on my radar. They  played The Burlington with We Are Hex!.....And I missed the whole show. Still....these impressions I have to write down. Right away I'm taken by Too Many Whores. Its authority sets me up, adjusted for It's My Body, Western Child. As I listen and see new work from this artist in a way I also revisit all of it. Cave Life on top of Adios, and on until I reach Burnout Babies. I don't recall which ones I actually heard. Adios is a bouncy two minute runaway train. Urgent and nearly derailing, downhill.  Thats the thing, how they redefine the flow of urgency with each track. As Adios finishes you are left to anticipate new work.   Touched By Ghoul is awesome for being heavier, not as sweet. Messier like a work still in progress, but fully operational like the fucking Deathstar. It goes to places unexpected and keeps me following. Damn, this was unusually brief. So I posted pictures of other times I saw Angela performing for her other acts, Coins and Sybris.
